After making a gym run, there’s nothing like having a nutritious meal that satisfies your taste buds, whether it’s the crispness of a kale arugula salad or the noshing of a soft avocado blended with lemon and spices on whole wheat toast. However, eateries in New York City can also leave your pockets on E. Fortunately, there are plenty of dollar-and-diet friendly restaurants tucked away in the concrete jungle, and we narrowed them down to ten for you.
Meet your soon-to-be favorite food spots in New York.—Tanay Hudson
MULBERRY & VINE
73 Warren St. (Near Church St.)
With prices ranging from $10 to $13, Mulberry & Vine serves dishes packed with protein. Vegetable sides include charred avocado, kale and chickpea stew, and roasted sweet potatoes. Their meat dishes consist of mostly chicken and turkey meals, like turkey and white bean chili and Mediterranean-braised chicken with one lone pork dish, carnitas pozole. Instead of using butter and cream, their foods are seasoned with spices and herbs for a flavor spike.
If you’re craving desserts, they also have you covered with their gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan pastries. Take a look at their menu here.
